Wild Quail Embroidery Pattern

This is an embroidery outline and color chart for a quail project I designed for myself. It's my first time making a pattern, so I hope you enjoy it! 

I relied heavily on reference photos when making this project, and I would suggest doing the same. I stitched this in a 7" hoop so that I'd have a lot of stitching space; I framed it in a 6" hoop. 

I stitched this with 2 strands of thread through my needle. It's a fun pattern to use to play with texture and stitch types!
